We feel very lucky to have had Alicia Reid of Coldwell Banker Bain recently as the Real Estate Agent who handled our listing. We found her to be a real pro, extremely honest and conscientious, always available, and helpful. She spent a ton on marketing our home, and the results speak for themselves. She actually provided professional staging services along with marketing materials that were beyond anything we have seen. Yet, our home was more of a first time buyer home. We were amazed. My wife had actually found Alicia in an online search. What great luck!
We got many interested buyers through our home from day one, and comments were very positive about the staging and marketing materials that Alicia provided.
We feel especially lucky to have had Alicia as our listing agent when we compare her service to the selling agent who came from a limited service real estate brokerage. There were many professional lapses and gaffes on the part of the limited service company agent, but Alicia did many things to keep the sale on track, including coming to our home on very short notice when the buyers appeared with an inspector without advance notice on a Saturday afternoon. The selling agent from the limited service company couldn't be reached for hours. The limited service office is fully automated. No broker was available by phone, no receptionist, no way to reach the agent in an emergency. The buyer and my agent could not reach his agent or brokerage by phone. Alicia covered for the selling agent, who did not inform anyone of the visit nor show up as she should have. This is just one of many unprofessional moves made by the limited service company agent, and not nearly the worst. In fact, the selling agent from the limited service company even said that she had received a good faith deposit check from the buyers, when in fact that check had not even been deposited with Escrow for another 9 or 10 days! The limited service company agent changed her story trying to cover up for the lack of a deposit. In the end, she said that she had allowed the buyers to deposit the check themselves days after the inspection. Alicia and Bain always looked out for our interests while being strictly honest and professional towards the buyer and their agent. This was not the case with the limited service company agent in our experience.
We will certainly go with Alicia and Coldwell Banker Bain when we list our next house some day. Her value far exceeded her commission. She rates 5 stars from us.
